In this episode, we become acquainted with a rare specimen: entomologist Georges Brossard himself. We follow this passionate researcher in his never-ending quest for the "Insect El Dorado". Why and how does one become mad about bugs? This is what we will find out by following Georges along the turbulent waters of the Orinico River and within the confines of the great tropical forests of inland Venezuela.

This expedition will also be an opportunity to explore the phenomenon behind the fear of insects which, for some people, may develop into an actual phobia. Why are insects the planet's most unpopular species? They are infinitely more beneficial than harmful. Only 1% of all the insect species are harmful to human beings. Some bite or sting, but they never do it intentionally. Georges, who had the opportunity to personally test just about every insect defence mechanism, is still alive to tell us about it.

Mankind can and must reconcile with insects. Georges Brossard has made it his mission for more than 20 years by creating insectariums on various continents, by speaking to the wide audience of INSECTIA and sometimes simply by placing a beetle in the hands of a person who will learns to no longer fear insects.
