As for those slimy cockroaches we're forever trying to exterminate from our homes, they are quite prized by Jamaican grannies who give them whole to children to eliminate worms. Unlike most other insects, which are coated with wax, cockroaches are coated with a greasy layer, allowing them to slip into narrow cracks and crevices. This grease would eliminate the worms simply by lubricating them.
